Trout Creek Bend

One of our favorite photos taken of Trout Creek Bend in the Hayden Valley, Yellowstone National Park. This tributary to the Yellowstone River is closed to fishing in an attempt to preserve the natural habitat of the native Yellowstone Cutthroat. Photo taken in late June 2008.

Madison River Grayling

Caught this Grayling at the Madison Junction hole below the campground. In addition to the Grayling, we caught Rainbows, Browns, and Mountain Whitefish. This was the hot location, where the Firehole and Gibbon Rivers merge in Yellowstone National Park.

Some Added Perspective

Fly fishing at the base of Glen Canyon Dam at Lees Ferry adds a perspective that is difficult to match. The forces of nature and a manmade engineering marvel create an atmosphere that draws on a variety of emotions. One that struck me was awe. The monumental size of the shear canyon walls and the BIG water that over time, carved the canyon we now fish in. What an experience.
